NBA Free Agents Whose Stocks Are Soaring in Postseason

The free-agent playoff performers trend tall this year. Roy Hibbert, JaVale McGee and Kevin Garnett have all made some noise under the national spotlight.

Most surprising among the trio is McGee, who became a George Karl reclamation project when he was traded from the Wizards.

In the Denver Nuggets' first-round series, he had a sterling game against Andrew Bynum and the Lakers (12 shots, 21 points, 14 rebounds). While McGee put up the same player efficiency rating (PER) numbers (20.5) as he had in the regular season, the difference was in how he did it. There were fewer defensive gaffes, fewer laugh-out-loud plays.

The shorter free-agent standouts are veteran point guards.

Derek Fisher looked done, and yet, somehow, reclaimed his form in the postseason again. He's scalding the nets with a .579 true shooting percentage for the OKC Thunder. Andre Miller remains steady and in need of more money. The 35-year-old helped push the Lakers to seven games with a near 19 PER in Round 1.
