Shaquille O’Neal reportedly tested out his injured right knee in practice yesterday. Meanwhile, Jermaine O’Neal did not practice. When asked, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said it was too early to tell if either of the O’Neals would be available for Thursday’s showdown with the Heat. Just to remind everybody, the Celtics won the last game 88-80.  

The ever-injured Yao Ming left the Rockets' Wednesday night game after only playing six minutes with a strained tendon in his left leg. Given Yao’s injury-plagued career, don’t expect Houston to bring him back until they feel he is 100 percent over this.  

Caron Butler sat out Wednesday night with back spasms. Starting in his place was Shawn Marion. Butler will be listed as day-to-day heading into Friday’s game against the 76ers. Even if Butler does play Friday, expect Marion to get the bulk of the minutes.
