Michael Redd Eyeing Friday or Saturday Return from Injury for Milwaukee Bucks

Imagine this: You're a professional basketball player. After tearing your ACL and MCL in the same knee for the second consecutive year, you are forced to go 14 months without a practice.

You can call that a nightmare, but that has been reality for Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Michael Redd.

Fortunately for Redd, he is now physically ready to make a return. After practicing for the first time in 14 months on Tuesday, Redd is now hoping to return either in Friday's game against the New York Knicks or Saturday's game against the Chicago Bulls.

Redd has not played in a game since January 10th, 2010. That was the day Redd re-tore his ACL and MCL. Almost one year prior, he had torn both knee ligaments, as well. Two knee surgeries within the same 12 months caused Redd to miss most of the past three seasons.

It remains to be seen how much Redd will be used following his return. The Bucks have a large inventory of capable wings and adding Redd to the mix only complicates things for coach Scott Skiles.
