Miami Heat Reshuffle Coaching Staff, Front Office

The Miami Heat made a series of moves Sunday, moving some familiar faces to some new places.

Continuity has been a hallmark of the organization since Pat Riley took over in 1994, and that doesn't really change with these moves.

Neither does his role.

He's still the President.

He's still in charge.

But Andy Elisburg, who started as an intern in 1988 and became Riley's trusted salary cap adviser, now gets the title of Senior VP Basketball Operations/General Manager. 

Adam Simon, formerly the Director of Player Personnel, becomes the Assistant GM while also serving as the GM of the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat's NBA Development League affiliate.

Chad Kammerer and Keith Askins leave their posts as assistant coaches, with Kammerer becoming the Director of NBA Scouting/Advance Scout and Askins becoming the Director of College and Pro Scouting.

After getting an opportunity to coach the Heat's summer-league team, Dan Craig becomes an assistant coach on Erik Spoelstra's staff, moving out of the video room, just as Spoelstra did many years ago. Eric Glass will replace Craig as video coordin ...
