Chicago 98, Memphis 85—Final

Jimmy Butler registered 24 points and led the Chicago Bulls to a 98-85 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday at the United Center.

Chicago (15-8) earned a 48-32 advantage during the second half to pull away, forcing 14 second-half turnovers after Memphis (14-13) ceded possession just four times in the opening frames.

Following a quiet six-point night because of limited minutes in a blowout, Derrick Rose was aggressive immediately after the opening tip. He scored 10 of his 19 points in the first quarter, adding five assists.

Doug McDermott netted 17 points off the bench, while Pau Gasol chipped in 10 points and 14 rebounds during a battle with his brother.

Marc Gasol finished with eight points, seven boards and seven assists, though Courtney Lee led the Grizzlies with 18 points. However, Chicago quieted Lee after an explosive start, and no Memphis player picked up the scoring slack.
