Luol Deng Injury: Updates on Heat Star’s Eye and Return

Miami Heat forward Luol Deng suffered an eye injury during Wednesday night's game against the Washington Wizards.

Deng Suffers Poked Eye Wednesday, Jan. 20 During the second quarter, Deng took a hit to the face from Wizards rookie Kelly Oubre Jr. Clutching his eye, he went down in what looked like severe pain.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra spoke with the media about Deng's status after the game, per the Heat's Twitter:    



A timetable for a possible return has not been released yet.

Deng is not the player he was in his prime as a member of the Chicago Bulls, but this is still a difficult setback for the Heat if the former Duke Blue Devil is forced to miss significant time.
