Lowry Moves into Tie for 2nd Place on Raptors’ All-Time Assists List

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry moved into a tie for second place on his franchise's all-time assists list during Thursday's 103-93 win over the New York Knicks, with his 1,791 dimes in a Toronto uniform matching Alvin Williams' total for the team, per Sportsnet Stats.

Despite being considered questionable for the contest because of a minor wrist injury, the 29-year-old Lowry led Toronto to victory over a surprisingly feisty shorthanded Knicks squad, putting up 26 points, 10 assists, six rebounds, three steals and three turnovers in a game-high 41 minutes.

The last of those assists brought him into a tie with Williams, who averaged 4.3 dimes per game in 417 appearances for the Raptors between 1998-99 and 2005-06.

Lowry has only played 263 games in a Toronto uniform, averaging an impressive 6.8 assists during that time, along with 16.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

He ranks fourth in franchise history in assists per game, fifth in points per game and second in steals per game, with his 2015-16 form suggesting that each of those numbers will only rise.
