Los Angeles Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings: Analysis, Highlights and Reactions

January 7th, 2016 by Michael Whitlow Leave a reply »
In the back half of the NBA on TNT’s Thursday night doubleheader, leading All-Star Game vote-getter Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers clashed with DeMarcus Cousins and the Sacramento Kings at Sleep Train Arena.

For the Lakers, it’s another meeting with their in-state rivals, yet for Kings fans, it will be the final time they get a chance to either clap or boo Bryant in person (those playoff series from the early 2000s won't help Bryant’s case in regard to being cheered on Thursday).

After utter chaos and a blown 27-point lead, the Kings hung on for a 118-115 victory over the Lakers.

No, it wasn't Kobe that got the Lakers back into the game. It was the kids, led by No. 2 overall pick D'Angelo Russell.
