Los Angeles Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

November 18th, 2016 by Jared Johnson Leave a reply »
The Los Angeles Clippers held on for a 121-115 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, despite nearly squandering their 26-point first-half lead. The Clippers moved to 11-2 on the season, and the Kings are now 4-9.

In the first half, it seemed Los Angeles couldn't miss. J.J. Redick went into the intermission with 22 points (was 6-of-6 from three-point range), and the team had 73 points.

However, Sacramento gradually fought back in the second half behind DeMarcus Cousins (38 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists), Ty Lawson (18 points and eight assists) and Darren Collison (16 points), and the Kings were just two points behind Los Angeles with less than two minutes remaining.

Ultimately, the Clippers were able to get some key stops on defense in the final minutes, and Blake Griffin (29 points, seven rebounds and six assists), Redick (26 points) and DeAndre Jordan (16 points and 12 rebounds) were too much for Sacramento to overcome.

The Clippers return home for a matchup against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night, while the Kings stay home to host the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
