LeBron James went from being one of the most loved players in the NBA to one of the most hated in a blink of an eye.
He'll tell you that his move to Miami wasn't about money and while that may be true, his move sparked debate that his move was all about stacking the deck in his favor just to win a championship. Not unlike the baseball team he roots for in New York, but that's a different subject for a different day.
"The Decision," as it's come to be called, was the one single moment that ruined his reputation for good. The city that helped him grow up was spurned as he turned his back on the team he had spent his first years with as a professional.
It wasn't just about turning his back on a team or a city, it was the fact that he wanted the attention on himself as he made his decision. He wasn't the only free agent who signed a new deal during the off season, but he's the only one that got his own one-hour special.
