Langston Galloway Reportedly to Sign with Pelicans: Contract Details, Reaction

Two days after the New York Knicks rescinded Langston Galloway's $2.7 million qualifying offer, the unrestricted free-agent shooting guard reportedly agreed to sign with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to ESPN.com's Ian Begley. 

Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops confirmed the two sides reached a deal on Wednesday and added that Galloway's contract spans two seasons, with a player option in the second year.   

The New York Post's Marc Berman explained why New Orleans was an attractive destination for the 24-year-old: 



It took Galloway some time to find his footing in the Association after he went undrafted out of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, but he made a strong impression down the stretch of the 2014-15 campaign with the Knicks. 

In 45 appearances, including 41 starts, Galloway averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 39.9 percent from the field and 35.2 percent from three.
