Lakers Rumors: Examining Latest Nick Young Trade Gossip and More

The Los Angeles Lakers' offseason didn't exactly begin according to plan. The team set its sights on several big-ticket free agents and pretty much whiffed on every single one of them. Things certainly appeared bleak for a team coming off a 21-win season, but lately, we've begun to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

In a dramatic turn of events, the Lakers traded for Roy Hibbert, signed veterans Lou Williams and Brandon Bass, as well as rookies D'Angelo Russell, Anthony Brown and Larry Nance Jr. All of a sudden, the team's roster began to accumulate something that had been missing for several previous seasons—depth.

Despite those signings, the Lakers aren't done yet.

General manager Mitch Kupchak is still looking to make moves, and not all of them are to bring players to Los Angeles. According to a report from Marc J. Spears and Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, the team had previously been attempting to offload a few players in a cap-saving move:
