Kobe Bryant Signs Shoes for Suns’ Devin Booker, Tells Rookie to ‘Be Legendary’

March 24th, 2016 by Kyle Newport Leave a reply »

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker may not have had many opportunities to go head-to-head with Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, but the rookie will at least have the memory of being a part of the Black Mamba's farewell tour.

In fact, Booker now has awesome keepsakes to remember the future Hall of Famer by.

Bryant played the Suns for the last time Wednesday, dropping 17 points in a 119-107 loss. Booker had himself a pretty good night in his final meeting with the Black Mamba, posting 28 points on 12-of-22 shooting and seven assists.

A performance like that should have Suns fans excited about the future. As for Bryant, the retiring star has a simple message for the 19-year-old rookie.

"Be Legendary."

Booker got off to a bit of a slow start in his first season, but ever since the calendar flipped to 2016, he has been on a roll. Now, Bryant will sit back and watch as the guard shows the world what he can do.
