The Knicks almost beat the Boston Celtics last night. But unfortunately, almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

The New York Knicks have dazzled their way into the hearts of every New York fan in the last month. After a disastrous bid for Cliff Lee and the dagger already deep enough in the hearts of New York sports fans everywhere, the Knicks have been the one bright spot.

The Knicks had an eight game winning streak going into last night. That's right, the Knicks of all teams, had an eight game winning streak. They need to obtain the credit they deserve for this winning streak. It might have been against bad teams, but for the first time in a long time, the Knicks have consistently beaten the bad teams.

Amar'e Stoudemire has undoubtedly been this catalyst to a team that was on life support all of last season. He leaves Madison Square Garden to the chants of "M-V-P!" and leaves satisfied knowing he is helping revive what is, a great basketball city.
