Klay Thompson Wins 2016 NBA 3-Point Contest: Scores, Highlights and Reaction

A year after Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry captured long-range glory at All-Star Weekend, teammate Klay Thompson took home the 2016 Three-Point Contest crown with a superb showing from beyond the arc Saturday night at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. 

After posting the best score of the first round with a mark of 22, the pressure was on Thompson to eclipse Curry's final-round score of 23. However, the other Splash Brother went bonkers and delivered a perfect final rack that consisted of five money balls en route to posting a 27. 



Phoenix Suns rookie Devin Booker emerged from a three-man tiebreaker in the first round that included Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard J.J. Redick and Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden, but he couldn't match the outrageous totals Curry and Thompson posted with the trophy on the line. 



According to ESPN Stats & Info, Thompson and Curry became the first pair of teammates to capture back-to-back three-point crowns in contest history.
