Kevin Love Injury: Updates on Cavaliers Star’s Shoulder and Return

Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love was forced to leave Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers with a left shoulder contusion.

Love's Injury Not Serious Wednesday, Feb. 10 Joe Gabriele of the Cavaliers' official website relayed the official diagnosis on Love's surgically repaired shoulder. 

"He has a contusion and he should be fine," Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue said, per the Associated Press' Tom Withers, who added that Love suffered a "stinger" and "doesn't expect to miss any time."


According to Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes, the Cavaliers expect Love back for the team's first game following the All-Star break on Feb. 18. 



Though he's been a frequent target of criticism since the Cavaliers assembled their Big Three, the stretch 4 has been vital to the success of Cleveland's offense.

According to NBA.com's stats database, Cleveland's offense is 8.5 points better per 100 possessions when Love is on the floor.
