Kevin Love Injury: Updates on Cavaliers Star’s Leg and Return

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Kevin Love suffered a thigh bruise on Friday against the Boston Celtics, per Tom Withers of the Associated Press. It is unclear when he will return to the court.

Love Out vs. Pelicans Saturday, Feb. 6 Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com reported Love will not play against the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.

Love Can't Shake Injury Bug Love can't catch a break on the injury front. He missed the majority of the Cleveland Cavaliers' postseason run in 2014-15 after suffering a dislocated left shoulder in Game 4 of the team's Eastern Conference quarterfinal sweep against the Celtics. Now, the injury bug has bitten again. 

In general, the 2014-15 season was a trying one for Love. After averaging 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game a season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Love saw his numbers dip to 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds as he shared the spotlight with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

Clearly, those trials weren't enough to prevent him from signing a five-year, $110 million contract extension with the team in the offseason.
