Coming off consecutive winning seasons, the Atlanta Hawks are hoping to keep the core of their team intact, which includes re-signing free agent Kent Bazemore.

Hawks Prioritizing Bazemore, Horford Tuesday, June 28 Per ESPN's Marc Stein, Bazemore and Al Horford are the Hawks' "free-agent priorities" this summer. 

Most of the report actually revolves around Kevin Durant, with Stein noting the Hawks are hoping to convince the former NBA MVP and his representatives to have a "face-to-face recruiting meeting" at some point after July 1, when teams can begin negotiating with free agents.

Durant is the ultimate prize that everyone wants this summer, assuming LeBron James either opts in to the second year of his deal or will only negotiate with the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

Bazemore, however, has found an excellent role with the Hawks and knows head coach Mike Budenholzer's system. He averaged a career-high 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 75 games last season.
