John Wall Ejected vs. Celtics for Flagrant-2 Foul on Marcus Smart

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall was ejected for the second time in as many games Wednesday night when he was whistled for a flagrant-2 foul on Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart, according to Celtics reporter Marc D'Amico: 



The infraction occurred in the fourth quarter when Wall appeared to make contact with Smart above the neck. The two proceeded to exchange words, and Wall was tossed after the play was reviewed. 



Wall later told the Washington Post's Candace Buckner the foul was "just me getting frustrated" before he discussed why he wasn't happy despite the Wizards' big lead in the fourth quarter: 



"Just want to take a moment to apologize to my coaches, teammates and fans for losing my cool tonight," Wall said after the game on Twitter. "The last thing I would ever want to do is to let you all down. I love and respect this game to much."

According to Buckner, Wall was fined $25,000 earlier on Wednesday for making contact with an official and failing to leave the court in a timely fashion after being ejected during the Wizards' ...
