Maybe next time LeBron James will listen to Joel Embiid.

This past summer, players and teams throughout the NBA were doing whatever they could to try to lure James to their city. Embiid—the No. 3 overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft—took to Twitter to try to recruit the four-time NBA MVP to the Philadelphia 76ers:

When James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Embiid realized that his recruiting pitches had failed:

Fast-forward to Monday. The Cavaliers, who were without James, Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters, traveled to Philadelphia to play the 76ers. This was a chance for the 76ers to show James what he missed out on.

Philadelphia rallied from a double-digit deficit to pull out a 95-92 victory. After the game, Embiid—who did not play—decided to have some fun trolling James and the Cavaliers:

Cleveland (19-16) is certainly not playing as well as it had hoped, but it's safe to say that this game won't make James regret not signing with Philadelphia (5-28).
