The Charlotte Hornets were up by 11 on the New York Knicks with less than 10 seconds to go and the ball in Jeremy Lin's hands.
Lin could have passed or dribbled it out, but facing his former team Wednesday, he opted for a different approach—a dagger.
Driving toward the defending Sasha Vujacic, Lin suddenly pulled up, sending the unsuspecting opponent careening away with a well-executed crossover. Then he rose up, unloaded and buried the three from the top of the key, staring down the Slovenian guard from behind the arc (and from the flip side of the playoff picture).
