Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Jeremy Lamb strained his left hamstring during Saturday's game against the Boston Celtics. It is uncertain when he will return to action.

Latest on Lamb's Timeline for Return Monday, Oct. 31 The Hornets announced that Lamb will be re-evaluated in one to two weeks and will be out of the lineup during that time.

Hornets Have Depth to Handle Lamb's Injury The Hornets acquired Lamb prior to the 2015-16 season and made the somewhat surprising step of signing him to what ESPN.com's Marc Stein reported was a three-year, $21 million extension. Even with the NBA's salary cap set to rise, giving Lamb that much money was something of a risk.

The 24-year-old became a productive role player in the Queen City. He came off the bench to appear in 66 games and average 8.8 points a night on 45.1 percent shooting. He also had a nice impact on the defensive end, with the Hornets allowing 8.8 fewer points per 100 possessions with him on the court, per NBA.com.
