Many professional athletes relish the opportunity to live on their own in houses they bought themselves because it gives them a chance to really become independent from their parents.
Indiana Pacers guard Jeff Teague is not that kind of athlete. The 28-year-old is moving back in with his mom and dad.
The veteran point guard was traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the Pacers earlier this month, landing him back in his hometown of Indianapolis. Given that he grew up in the city, the deal worked out well for him because he bought a house in the area a few years back. But when he re-signed with the Hawks a few years ago, he gave the house to his parents.
Teague went on Fox Sports 97.5 recently and talked about his current situation. The good news is that he doesn't have to go house hunting as he prepares for the next chapter of his career—because his parents are letting him move back into the house:
Hey, there's nothing wrong with living with family. This will give the Teagues a chance to really bond, even during a busy NBA season.
