The third overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft, Jaylen Brown, has suffered a hyperextended knee, according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

Brown Day-to-Day with Knee Injury Tuesday, July 5 Brown will miss the Boston Celtics summer-league game Tuesday, according to A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast SportsNet.

Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald noted Brown will get a "precautionary" MRI on Wednesday. 

Brown Eager to Prove Skills  The 19-year-old scored 16 points and added six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in his summer-league debut against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, leading the Celtics to a 102-94 victory.



While he started slowly in his highly publicized matchup against No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons, Brown soon settled into a groove.
