J.J. Barea Injury: Updates on Mavericks Guard’s Calf and Return

Dallas Mavericks point guard J.J. Barea suffered a calf injury on Wednesday against the Boston Celtics. He went down untouched and had to be helped off the floor.

On Thursday, it was revealed he tore a muscle connecting the left calf to the Achilles tendon.

It is currently unclear when he'll return to the court.

Latest on Barea's Timeline to Return  Thursday, Nov. 17 Barea is expected to miss six weeks as he recovers from the tear, per ESPN.com.

Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said on Wednesday that it was a strain and that "he'll be out for a while," per Mavericks play-by-play man Mark Followill.
