Ish Smith Injury: Updates on 76ers PG’s Ankle and Return

Philadelphia 76ers guard Ish Smith is battling a sprained ankle and will miss Saturday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

No Timetable on Smith's Return Saturday, Feb. 6 The Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey provided the update, but there's no concrete return date listed at this time. 

Smith, who's played for nine different teams since breaking into the league in 2010, enjoyed a strong start to the campaign for the New Orleans Pelicans. Then he got traded back to the 76ers, where he spent part of last season, and provided a spark for the struggling squad.

He dealt with an ankle problem during the preseason while with the Washington Wizards. Though that limited his opportunity to prove himself, he still caught on with New Orleans and quickly rebuilt his value to attract interest from Philly. Now he's playing the biggest role of his career, so it all worked out.
