The circle of life for a Sacramento Kings point guard is a vicious one.
Just ask Isaiah Thomas:
Even before Thomas' former team agreed to a one-year deal with Rajon Rondo on Friday (per Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports), Darren Collison, who was limited to 45 games with Sacramento in 2014-15 before going down with a hip injury, voiced his displeasure, too.
With Rondo now donning the purple and silver, Collison will likely be forced into a role off the bench.
This is a serious juxtaposition for Rondo and Thomas. Thomas left the Kings after three seasons through a sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns and then got dealt to the Boston Celtics.
The former Celtic is now aboard a sinking ship in Sactown, and the former King is starring on a Boston team blossoming with talent.
So, for Kings point guards of the present and future, there is hope.
