If you didn’t know Iman Shumpert as a defensive-minded shooting guard who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, you’d think he does this for a living.
Shump has remixed Drake songs, rapped about his teammates and dropped freestyles (Warning: all links have NSFW language) before. His most recent work is an emotional seven-minute tune dedicated to his singer girlfriend Teyana Taylor, who also appears on the track.
"The crazy thing about it is when I was writing it, I was speaking figuratively," the shooting guard said in the caption of the video. "I wrote this song about a year-and-a-half ago. Teyana didn't add her part until right before the playoffs last year. With everything that was going on, it just started to line up in my mind; I kind of envisioned what was happening and timed it up accordingly."
Taylor, who is due with their child in January, also sings in the video.
Seriously, the whole thing is pretty impressive.
