Ian Mahinmi Injury: Updates on Pacers Center’s Knee and Return

Indiana Pacers center Ian Mahinmi left the game against the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 30 due to knee soreness, and it's unclear when he'll return to the court.

Latest on Mahinmi's Playing Status Saturday, Jan. 2  The Pacers announced Mahinmi is questionable for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons. 

Mahinmi's Absence Thins Pacers Frontcourt The Pacers were already thin on the front line for Wednesday's game with Jordan Hill sitting out because of a dental procedure. It's unclear if Hill will be available Thursday, which could put the Pacers in a difficult situation if Mahinmi's also on the shelf.

Turner, who hadn't played in more than a month, will see an even bigger increase in his workload against the Milwaukee Bucks. The former Texas star is raw and has been buried on head coach Frank Vogel's rotation since early in the season, but there won't be any other choice on short notice. Lavoy Allen will also see big minutes.
