Milwaukee Bucks big man Greg Monroe is reportedly on the trade block ahead of a potential contract year.

Bucks Shopping Monroe 'Hard' Monday, June 20 The Associated Press' Michael Scotto reported the buzz on Monroe, who's set to make $17.1 million this coming season with a $17.8 million player option for the 2017-18 campaign.

Monroe was Milwaukee's prized free-agent acquisition last summer, as the Bucks constructed an intriguing roster featuring a ton of size and athleticism across the board.

Although Monroe had a fine year, with 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest, Milwaukee didn't quite click and failed to qualify for the playoffs with a 33-49 record. The 26-year-old even went to a bench role at one point, hence his 79 games played with 67 starts.

By demoting him during the 2015-16 campaign, the Bucks may have done themselves a disservice and hindered Monroe's trade value. They also stuck him at center often despite his typical position being power forward.
