Gerald Green Trade Rumors: Latest Buzz, Speculation Surrounding Suns Forward

With the Phoenix Suns' embarrassment of riches in the backcourt, Gerald Green is a candidate to be moved before Thursday's NBA trade deadline.

Suns Discussing Trades for GreenTuesday, Feb. 17Much of the trade talk in Phoenix lately has surrounded Goran Dragic, who is set to become a free agent in the summer.

However, according to sources cited by Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, general manager Ryan McDonough is instead attempting to trade Green and Isaiah Thomas to clear the backcourt clog and entice Dragic to re-sign. 



Wojnarowski does note that there are "no assurances Phoenix will find a deal for them."

On the season, Green is averaging a career-high 22 points per 36 minutes. However, he's shooting just 41.4 percent from the field and his usage has dropped considerably as of late, averaging just 15.7 minutes per game over his last 13, including a healthy DNP in late January.
