Eric Gordon Injury: Updates on Pelicans Guard’s Recovery from Finger Surgery

New Orleans Pelicans guard Eric Gordon is recovering from finger surgery and could see the court soon.

Gordon Could Come Back "Any Day Now" Thursday, Feb. 25  Gordon had surgery to repair his fractured finger on Jan. 20 and hasn't appeared in a game since Jan. 19. Scott Kushner of the Advocate provided an update Thursday: "Just spoke to Pelicans SG Eric Gordon who said he will come back 'any day now' and wants to play even if he's less than 100 percent."

Gordon was one of five Pelicans who were averaging double-digit scoring outputs halfway through the 2015-16 season. He's averaging 14.9 points per night in 41 games.

It has been a difficult time without him for the Pelicans, who are near the bottom of the Western Conference at 22-34. 

Norris Cole and Toney Douglas have seen a bump in their minutes at the 2 to fill Gordon's void, but it's been up to backup point guard Jrue Holiday to make sure the offense remains consistent.
