Yes, it's early, and we will take that into consideration. These grades are based on only what we've seen from each squad so far. They are not, in every case, a non-negotiable forecast for how a team will end the season.
This is to say: Don't panic if your band isn't where it's supposed to be—unless, of course, you're a fan of the New Orleans Pelicans. Then, yeah, you're encouraged to sound the alarm.
All grades are relative to the expectations of each individual franchise. We expect more from the Golden State Warriors than the Philadelphia 76ers, and it wouldn't make sense to evaluate them on the same scale. So it's possible for two teams from different walks of basketball life to get the same mark without it meaning they're on equal ground.
