Dwight Howard to Host Blood Drive Honoring Craig Sager Outside of Rockets Arena

The Houston Rockets announced Monday that center Dwight Howard will hold a blood drive Wednesday in honor of TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager.

The blood drive will run from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. CT outside of the Toyota Center:  



Sager announced in April 2014 a doctor diagnosed him with acute myeloid leukemia. He returned in 2015 for a March 5 game between the Chicago Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder. In July, Sager underwent stem cell treatment and then returned to the sidelines, which allowed him to begin working again last October.

In an interview with Bernard Goldberg on HBO's Real Sports in March, Sager revealed the leukemia is no longer in remission:
