Duncan Passes Havlicek for 14th on All-Time Scoring List

San Antonio Spurs center Tim Duncan finished Tuesday's 108-87 win over the Los Angeles Clippers with 26,399 career points, passing Boston Celtics legend John Havlicek (26,395) for sole possession of 14th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list, per NBA.com/stats on Twitter. 

The 39-year-old big man otherwise had a quiet outing, finishing with six points, seven rebounds and two assists over 22 minutes as the Spurs cruised to an easy victory.

Although this kind of performance has become commonplace during the least impressive statistical season of Duncan's career, he has proved capable of turning in big outings when needed most, including a recent performance of nine points, 14 boards, four assists, two blocks and a steal in last Monday's 99-91 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

With his Spurs almost certainly headed for the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, it appears Duncan could get some extra rest down the stretch of the regular season, which should allow him to enter the playoffs in top form.
