Draymond Green Comments on Arrest, Alleged Assault

Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green spoke Tuesday about his arrest for allegedly assaulting a man during an altercation at a restaurant in East Lansing, Michigan, this past Sunday.

"I think when things happen, I think you meet them head-on," Green said, per the San Jose Mercury News' Jimmy Durkin. "My legal team is handling it. It will be resolved really quickly. As a public figure, I just can't put myself in certain situations. It's something that I'll learn from and just move on."

Green appeared at Fortune's Brainstorm Tech conference in Aspen, Colorado, when making his remarks, per Durkin. James Heos, Green's lawyer, told the Mercury News on Monday that his client is "completely innocent."

Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson spoke to Green in private and said Green was remorseful for his actions:



The 26-year-old was an integral part of the Warriors' 73-win season, averaging 14.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.
