Chicago Bulls small forward Doug McDermott suffered a concussion during Saturday's game against the Washington Wizards. It is uncertain when he will return to action.

McDermott Won't Travel on Road Trip Monday, Nov. 14 "He's not going to travel, at least on the initial part of the trip," Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said, according to Nick Friedell of ESPN. "He's in the concussion protocol, and he's still having symptoms, so we'll leave him back. ... He was seen by our team doctor this morning, and the decision was made to keep him home."

McDermott Provides Valuable Threat From Deep Losing McDermott will be a blow to the Bulls' ability to stretch the floor and score from deep.

First-year Bulls Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo are not the best shooters from distance, which is where McDermott has carved his niche:



The third-year man has provided solid minutes off the bench after a tumultuous, injury-riddled rookie season in which he missed 46 games. Last season, he averaged 9.4 points in 23.0 minutes per game.
