Latest Updates on Rockets and Motiejunas Negotiations Wednesday, Nov. 23 The Rockets have rescinded their latest contract offer to Motiejunas, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Stein offered more details on the situation:



According to Stein, the Rockets were hoping to agree to a deal with the power forward before the Wednesday cutoff for players to sign deals and still be eligible to be dealt before the trade deadline on Feb. 23, though "those hopes appear to be fading."

Motiejunas, 26, turned down the team's $4.4 million qualifying offer for this season, per Stein, making him a restricted free agent on Oct. 1. Stein also reported the Rockets offered the power forward a multiyear contract worth "$7 million annually, with attainable incentives that could take it to $8 million" after Motiejunas turned down the qualifying offer.
