New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose suffered a back injury during Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat, and it is uncertain when he will return to action.

Rose Out vs. Cavaliers, Latest on Timeline for Return Wednesday, Dec. 7 The Knicks announced Rose will not play Wednesday against Cleveland. Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek said the team is preparing to have Rose in the lineup for its West Coast trip, which starts Friday against the Sacramento Kings, per Ian Begley of ESPN.com. 

Rose Injury Details Revealed  Wednesday, Dec. 7 The Knicks announced an MRI determined there wasn't any structural damage and that Rose is officially day-to-day. 

Begley previously reported Rose would have an MRI on Wednesday, with Hornacek calling the test a "precaution."
