Derrick Rose Injury: Updates on Bulls Star’s Hamstring and Return

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose is dealing with a hamstring injury and will miss Wednesday's contest against the Washington Wizards.

Rose "Trying Not to Risk" Hamstring Wednesday, Feb. 24 The Bulls deemed Rose's injury right hamstring tendinitis, and Cody Westerlund of CBSChicago.com passed along a quote from the point guard: "Just trying not to risk all of it."

Vincent Goodwill of CSN Chicago shared another quote from Rose: "I'm in a good place mentally, I love the way I've been playing. I just don't want to push it."

While this injury doesn't appear to be particularly serious, the overarching storyline of Rose’s career takes on a “what-could-have-been” angle because of so many physical setbacks. He was one of the most exciting young playmakers in the league before injuries sapped much of his explosiveness.
