Derrick Rose Injury: Updates on Bulls Star’s Elbow and Return

Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose suffered a hyperextended left elbow Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers.

Rose Headed for Evaluation Tuesday, March 29  ESPN.com's Nick Friedell reported it "looked like he [Rose] was going to get checked out by doctors" following the game. K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune added Rose will be re-evaluated Wednesday. Johnson added X-rays on the elbow were negative. 

Although Rose has flashed improved form since the All-Star break, he's still not back on the level he showcased en route to the MVP Award for the 2010-11 campaign. Whether he will ever become that player again for an extended period is a mystery.

Of course, that uncertainty is mostly due to his extensive history of injuries. It seems there's a setback every time he's about to turn the corner toward a period of good health. The most recent concern was a lingering groin problem.

If Rose is sidelined once again, the Bulls will likely use a committee approach to replace him. Aaron Brooks, E'Twaun Moore and Justin Holiday should all see an up ...
