Dallas Mavericks point guard Deron Williams left Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics with a calf injury. It is unclear when he'll return to the court.

Williams' Injury Details Revealed  Wednesday, Nov. 16 Williams was listed as doubtful to return due to a calf strain, according to Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com.

Williams Continues to Battle Injuries with Mavs Once considered among the best point guards in the league, Williams' career continued sliding in 2015-16.

He averaged 14.1 points and 5.8 assists per game in his first season with the Mavericks. According to Basketball-Reference.com, Williams' 14.6 player efficiency rating and minus-0.1 box plus/minus were the lowest since his rookie season. Heading into Wednesday, Williams was averaging 15 points, 5.8 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game this season.

The 32-year-old also missed 17 games last year, failing for the third straight year to appear in at least 70 regular-season games.



Given his injury history, Dallas likely expected Williams to miss a stretch of games this year.
