Darius Miles Gets a Shot at a Roster Spot with the Charlotte Bobcats

Darius Miles, 28 years old, will enter training camp for the Charlotte Bobcats with a non-guaranteed contract.

The veteran forward who was selected third overall by the Los Angeles Clippers back in 2000 will have the opportunity to make the Bobcats' roster after not playing in the league last season.

Injuries and league policy violations have prevented Miles from being on the NBA court since the 2005-2006 season, in which the swingman posted career highs in scoring, averaging 14.0 PPG.

Miles could get the chance to revamp his career in a new atmosphere where legend Michael Jordan will be present.

The 6'9" forward out of East St. Louis High School could provide solid depth for the Charlotte Bobcats during the upcoming season.
