The Dallas Mavericks survived a 132-129 double-overtime thriller against the stingy Chicago Bulls Tuesday night at the United Center.

Dallas (14-5) was carried by Monta Ellis, who buried a trio of clutch free throws with 1.2 seconds remaining in regulation after Kirk Hinrich inexplicably fouled the star guard. Ellis tied the game at 108, forced extra time and eventually finished with 38 points.

Chandler Parsons added 24 points, seven rebounds and three steals, while Dirk Nowitzki amassed 22 points, 10 assists and seven boards. Devin Harris chipped in 20 points off the bench, nailing all six attempts from long distance. 

Chicago (11-7) received a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Derrick Rose during the first overtime period. He recorded 18 points, 10 assists and five rebounds but committed seven turnovers.

Pau Gasol set season-high marks with 29 points and 14 rebounds in 50 minutes. Jimmy Butler, Mike Dunleavy and Nikola Mirotic netted 23, 20 and 15 points, respectively.
