Clippers Staffer Punched by Blake Griffin ‘No Longer Works for the Team’

Matias Testi, the Los Angeles Clippers equipment staffer Blake Griffin reportedly punched in January, will not return to the team.

TMZ Sports reported the news and cited a "rep for the Clippers" who said Testi "no longer works for the team."

ESPN.com's Michael Eaves reported in January that Griffin and Testi were involved in an altercation outside a Toronto restaurant that resulted in the superstar forward fracturing his right hand. 

The Clippers subsequently suspended Griffin four games, while Testi rejoined the club shortly after the incident. 

Griffin and Testi later shook hands courtside during a February game at Staples Center, and the 27-year-old expressed remorse for his actions when he met with the media. 

"It's something I think about every day and wish I could take it back, and I've told Matias that," Griffin said in February, according to the Los Angeles Times' Ben Bolch.
