Cliff Alexander to Nets: Latest Contract Details, Comments, Reaction

After going undrafted, former Kansas forward Cliff Alexander has signed with the Brooklyn Nets. 

Sports Illustrated's Jeremy Woo first reported the deal:



Tim Bontemps of the New York Post confirmed the report and added Alexander will take part in summer league action:



The 19-year-old Alexander has had a whirlwind 12 months. He was a five-star recruit and No. 4 overall prospect in the 2014 college class, per 247 Sports. He battled inconsistencies as a freshman with the Jayhawks, averaging 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game and missed the last eight games of the year due to an NCAA investigation into his possible connection with an NBA agent.  

Even though the bottom fell out for Alexander on draft night when he wasn't selected, he now has a chance to start fresh with an NBA team. There's no denying the raw talent that made him a prized recruit just one year ago is still in him.
