The Atlanta Hawks topped the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, 109-101, Tuesday night at Philips Arena behind 26 points and nine rebounds from forward Paul Millsap.

The Cavs' LeBron James, who turned 30 years old Tuesday, did not play due to soreness in his left knee. To further complicate things for David Blatt's squad, Kevin Love (seven points, seven rebounds) left in the third quarter with back spasms.

Kyrie Irving led Cleveland (18-13) with 35 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the losing effort. The Hawks improved to 23-8 with the victory.
