Chris Bosh Injury Update: Heat Star Out for Season with Blood Clots on Lung

Miami Heat star Chris Bosh will miss the rest of the 2014-15 season after blood clots were discovered on his lung.

The Heat released a statement Saturday confirming the news:

The Miami HEAT announced today that Chris Bosh will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 Season, while being treated for blood clots on his lung.

Bosh, who is receiving care under the guidance of Miami HEAT team physicians at a Baptist Health System Hospital, is currently resting comfortably. Chris is OK and his prognosis is good.

Joseph Goodman of the Miami Herald and Tim Reynold of the Associated Press provided comments from Heat coach Erik Spoelstra:



Ethan Skolnick of Bleacher Report also reported from Spoelstra that Goran Dragic will start Saturday's game because "We don't have time to wait."

Bosh has been one of the most consistent stars in the NBA over the past decade. He's earned 10 straight All-Star Game appearances and won two championships. This health issue has shown the respect for him goes far beyond the court, though.
