Miami Heat big man Chris Andersen will miss the remainder of the team's road trip due to left knee complications.

Andersen to Miss Remainder of Road Trip Friday, Jan. 15

Andersen returned to Miami to have his knee examined, the team announced Friday.

The Heat will play two more road games before returning home to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Andersen played two minutes, 39 seconds in Wednesday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers but missed the team's previous four games. The man known as Birdman has suited up only seven times for the Heat this season. 

Head coach Erik Spoelstra provided a brief statement on Andersen's injury, per the team's Twitter account:



Andersen has been out of the lineup for numerous reasons this season, ranging from personal issues to illnesses and now the knee complication.
