Jimmy Butler had 26 points and 10 assists, Pau Gasol posted 21 points and 12 rebounds and the Chicago Bulls routed the Los Angeles Lakers, 114-91, at the Staples Center on Thursday night, sending the Lakers to their eighth straight loss.
This game turned into a blowout rather quickly, with the Bulls jumping out to an early 30-12 lead.
Chicago led 32-15 by the end of the first quarter, and it extended its lead to 58-40 at halftime.
The Bulls would actually win every quarter in this contest.
Butler and Gasol were nothing short of terrific, demonstrating remarkable chemistry and working the high-low game masterfully.
Derrick Rose was spectacular, too, scoring 16 points off 7-of-11 shooting and making some highlight-reel passes.
Chicago shot 50 percent as a team.
Jordan Clarkson led Los Angeles with 16 points.
Otherwise, offense was tough to come by for the Lakers, who shot only 37.8 percent.
The Bulls also outrebounded LA, 51-40.
